I'm trying to get familiar with the OpenStack virtual environment and a bit stuck. Figured I'd start out trying Rackspace's Alamo(since I have cloud servers with them anyhow), then move to trying to use the Devstack variation, then move up to compiling it myself as I learn about all the components and whatnot.

But I'm stuck, and Googling around for guides or help just results in tons of articles "Rackspace is SOOOOOO nice for putting this out there" and "This will make it easier for everyone to get into it"... I'm used to Proxmox/Vmware/Xen. On that note, I am still reading around OpenStack's docs and wikis, so it's possible I just haven't gotten to the part I need yet.

Sorry I'll jump to the question, how to I configure Alamo to set random root passwords to it's VM Guests like Rackspace does? Or even just assign a static default to all it's guests upon creation? From what I think I'm looking at, it only defaults to injecting an SSL key for use with SSH.
