While adding Distributed File System (DFS) Role in Windows Server, I have been trying to configure receive reports by email option. We do not have SMTP server in our domain.

Add role serives Reporting options

We are using Godaddy smtp server for all email operations. In the following wizard Windows seem to be looking for SMTP server in the domain.

Is it feasible to use other SMTP server in this case, What would be correct way to enter object name in above dialog box ?

I would verify that you have access to a godadddy relay server. I thought godaddy only did client access unless you had hosted exchange. – Jim B Oct 1 '12 at 1:17
GoDaddy will allow SMTP relay in certain conditions but you have to have an account with relay credits or buy them. – Bernie White Oct 4 '12 at 21:43
   
You may be best to setup IIS with SMTP on a server and configure it to forward all email to the GoDaddy smart host. – Bernie White Oct 4 '12 at 21:44
