I have a mysql (MyISAM) table which is about 15 Gbs. The total available size after i setup ubuntu 12.04 (using wubi) is 18 Gbs. Now i have the error is marked as crashed and last (automatic?) repair failed. Previously i follow this tutorial mysql table is marked as crashed and last (automatic?) repair failed and i was successful in recovering but at that time the database tabe is small. Now it is too big so i'm very sure that the recovery will fail because the space left is only 2 Gbs (While the minimum free space must be at least equal to the size of the crashed table.

Anyone has any idea how i could resolve my problem?

Thanks for any help!

That indeed is a problem. How can you have 18GB of space these days? –  Mihai Iorga Oct 1 '12 at 13:10

Because i installed ubuntu using wubi, the maximum space i can choose is 30Gbs, after installing the OS there was only 18Gbs left (I'm not sure the exact space, but that is the space after i deleted all my personal files) –  aye Oct 1 '12 at 13:16

Copy the table to a system that has more space and do the recovery there. –  ethrbunny Oct 1 '12 at 14:10

Thank ethrbunny. After a painstakingly reinstall the while system i could recover the database –  aye Oct 5 '12 at 10:52
