We have Microsoft Server 2008 64 bit running Exchange 2007 64 bit. We would like to run a script to summarize all emails sent to 3 different email accounts on this exchange server according to a number sequence in the email title.

I have no idea of what tools to use to run scripts/queries on an exchange email server. Any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated.

You can control your exchange server with the microsoft powershell.

I'm not sure if it is possible to summarize the emails through powershell.

You can download the online help here:

No offence, but this is a terrible answer - in that, it's not an answer at all. It's accepted that links are sometimes appropriate where they contain lots of specific useful information, but linking to an online help page that may or may not (Probably not) answer the question is just pointless. – Dan Oct 10 '12 at 11:05
+1 to @Dan ...but to play devil's advocate, maybe KEB was trying to make his answer match the question in terms of quality. – HopelessN00b Oct 10 '12 at 13:10
