I configured apache for reverse proxy. in backend it is redirecting to three different servers.My problem is when it is redirecting to another server it is sending the new url to client browser. I want like this..the main site is main.abc.com. when it redirects to server1.abc.com the browser should display http://main.abc.com/server1. Presently my virtual host looks like this ...

ServerAdmin hostmaster@abc.com
ServerName www.server1.abc.com
#DocumentRoot /www/server1

#Define Virtual Host specific logging information.
ErrorLog /var/log/proxy/ssl_error_log
CustomLog /var/log/proxy/ssl_access_log combined

#Configure Reverse Proxy
ProxyRequests Off
ProxyPreserveHost On

<Location />
    ProxyPass http://server1.abc.com/
    ProxyPassReverse http://server1.abc.com/

    Order allow,deny
    Allow from all

You seem to be using two meanings of "redirecting". "Redirecting" usually applies to just sending the client a 301/302 HTTP message. It's also not clear from your question or config what you're trying to achieve. –  Alastair McCormack Oct 12 '12 at 12:28
I agree with Fuzzyfelt. I think you mean you are "proxying" to 3 different servers. Do these 3 servers serve the same website and are you trying to configure load balancing among them - or - does each server serve a different website? –  Sean Staats Oct 12 '12 at 13:19
