Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I want to do following: Two computers with windows 7. One connects to another via RDP and access is verified and connection is protected by some kind of certificate.

As far as I understood to use SSL I need server edition. Is there any way to use SSL for Win7?

No, you can install an SSL client and server on Windows 7.

There might be a better way to do what you're asking about, see this thread, titled How can I connect to a Windows server using a Command Line Interface? (CLI) for more details.
