Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

We have a storage pool that is filling up - and currently 20% of that pool is allocated to Data Protection.

Can we reduce, or even temporarily eliminate the Data Protection space?

It seems that even if we delete a snapshot we cannot shrink the size allocated to data protection.

Has anyone ever succeeded in reducing the Protection size in a VNx server?

thanks!

There is not nearly enough information here to provide an answer, and honestly, if you have to ask, you shouldn't be mucking around with your SAN. – HopelessN00b Oct 31 '12 at 16:41
