We have multiple Windows 7 desktops, which have no access to the outside world. Users sometimes need to access external web sites, so we provide a linux machine that does have outside access - the users launch a browser through an X session on the linux box. They do this through a shortcut, so they always run the session as the same user. Using konquerer, this works okay. But some sites aren't displayed properly in this browser, so we'd like to use firefox, or chrome, or whatever. Trouble is, when the browser is launched on desktop A it works fine, but if that window is still open when someone launches the browser on desktop B then the second window opens on desktop A, and the user on desktop B sees nothing. Is this a problem with X, or dbus, or webkit, or something else? How can I launch multiple browsers on a single machine, as a single user, on different desktops?
