Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Our ISP (Easynet) are providing us with a Cisco 1921 router, which they are managing (i.e. we have no access to it). We are working on the assumption that all traffic will be passed through from the SHDSL connection into the building.

To handle DHCP, NAT/Firewall etc for a small business network we would like to put a Draytek 2830 downstream of the Cisco.

Will this work?

(also is the Draytek a sensible hardware choice?)

Many thanks in advance
