Looking to create an RPM package by compiling Apache with custom modules. I'm NOT installing the package on my build server, I'm staging it under /opt/BUILD/httpd.

./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache2
...
...

make
make install DESTDIR=/opt/BUILD/httpd

That alone allows me to create an RPM by using fpm. The problem I'm having is, how would I add custom modules that needs to be compiled with apxs?

/opt/BUILD/httpd/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs -c -i -a mod_custom_header.c

When I run the command above, it throws an error, probably due to the fact that I've compiled Apache against the /usr/local/apache2 prefix.

cannot open /usr/local/apache2/build/config_vars.mk: No such file or directory at
