I've got a little problem. My VPS (Debian box) has 1 primary IP address, but now my hosting provider decided to assign me another one due to problems with first one. Let's say new IP is 220.127.116.11 and old one 18.104.22.168. How should I make 22.214.171.124 primary one, so that everything works on this address instead of 126.96.36.199 (like ftp, mysql etc) I tried editing /etc/newtwork/interfaces setting
iface eth1 inet static address 188.8.131.52 netmask 255.255.252.0 network 184.108.40.206 broadcast 220.127.116.11 gateway 18.104.22.168
I know that network is 22.214.171.124/22 so I assume that above configuration should be right. Saved, rebooted and that ended pretty bad. Couldn't even ping box on old or new IP. Had to revert to working one. So question is. What am I doing wrong and how to do it right?
UPD So they changed it now, sites open through new address, services work too. Though, there is panel called ispmanager, it still only works through old IP. And lets say there is script with fsocs, connection from this address come from old IP. Also mail sent got old IP address too, instead of new. How to fix it?
