I am running a fresh install of Linux Mint Nadia (14). I followed the steps to set up Vagrant here: Getting Started, but on the Provisioning page, when I do vagrant up I get the following output:

Chef never successfully completed! Any errors should be visible in the
output above. Please fix your recipes so that they properly complete.

My vagrant file looks like this:

Vagrant::Config.run do |config|
  config.vm.box = "lucid32"

    config.vm.provision :chef_solo do |chef|
        chef.recipe_url = "http://files.vagrantup.com/getting_started/cookbooks.tar.gz"
        chef.add_recipe("vagrant_main")
    end

end

I'm just starting out with Vagrant and have yet to successfully install anything but the most basic Vagrant box. Any help appreciated!

First, connect the computer to the Internet. –  Michael Hampton Nov 28 '12 at 12:53

Fair enough, I have figured out that the problem is that the vagrant /etc/resolv.conf is set to 10.0.2.3. Now I need to figure out how to get DNS working on the box. –  Rudolf Vavruch Nov 28 '12 at 19:49

@Rudolf - Did you get this working? I am having the same problem. –  user153141 Jan 12 '13 at 14:48
