I believe I lost an Adaptec 2410 controller card over the holiday weekend. I purchased a new card and installed the same card. The card sees the drives, but when I go to manage arrays it says no arrays are present.

This is a new card replacing the same exact model.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Do the BIOS versions match on the old vs. new cards? –  Lynn Crumbling Nov 28 '12 at 15:48

What were the actual symptoms of the original failure? –  longneck Nov 28 '12 at 16:00

Have you looked here: ask.adaptec.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/16881/~/… - like longneck said...if the array was not optimal before the replacement you might be in trouble –  TheCleaner Nov 28 '12 at 16:09

the manage array showed disk 0 and 2 had failed. shut down, removed power and rearrange disk 0 and 1 (just swapped cables). then powered back up. I went back into manage array and it showed the disk that was "failed" was up and the one that was up had "failed". I figured the channel that houses slots 0 & 2 had failed and 1 & 3 were fine. –  Chris Nov 28 '12 at 16:44
