Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

First let me say the company I work for used to have a professional share point admin who was an absolute genius. He left to work for M$... and I am trying to pick up the fairly complicated pieces with no working knowledge of SPS So please bear with me if I don't get terminology correct or don't use best practice I am very much in the learning phase.

When I create a new site collection to a server farm application and I choose "Dynamics AX Enterprise Portal" as the template the collection "creates" without error but once you try to visit it I get this error. I have researched the WebParts assembly quite a bit and can't find much. I have made sure that the SharePoint user has full access to the web directory. I have re-created everything from scratch. My Dynamics AX team says it's not an issue with the AX template and that they are certain it's something SharePoint.

An error occurred during the processing of . Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Dynamics.WebParts, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

This is on a Server 2008 R2 brand new build with only AX and SharePoint running on it.

Any help is appreciated.
