Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have a primary .com domain, which i wanted to update. So I built the new site on a .info domain. To migrate the .info domain DNS to point to the address of the .com domain, I updated the nameserver details of the .info domain to the .com domain registrar

When I browse the new site, it looks very strange with the typical "parked" domain message. I submitted the change around 20 hours ago. Have I done something wrong or should I just wait?

How is the server setup? Is it using host headers or a dedicated IP? Is it hosted 3rd party or in-house? –  TheCleaner Dec 5 '12 at 21:28
the hosting is all on hostgator, and the domains are both registered at godaddy. the websites are www.vincentiusapparel.com and www.vincentiusapparel.info - any help would be greatly appreciated! –  user1843091 Dec 5 '12 at 22:20
You need to contact hostgator then and make sure your DNS records are correct for each domain. –  TheCleaner Dec 7 '12 at 14:43
