I have 3 RHEL 6.3 servers connected via a 1 Gb switch. One of them (server) is sharing a local directory through through NFS and the other two (clients) mount that NFS share at startup. Recently I've started to notice that I can't access some of the files on the nfs share from the two clients. I can see the files through ls, but can't cp or ldd and so on. After reboot or remount I may be able to access those files, but not some others so it's seemingly random which files I can access and which I can't.
here is /etc/exports on the nfs server:
/nfs_share client1(rw,no_root_squash) client2(rw,no_root_squash)
and /etc/fstab on the clients
192.168.36.1:/nfs_share /nfs_share nfs rw,exec,suid 0 0
So the behavior is quite inconsistent so I'm not really sure where to start on this. Any pointers will be appreciated.
