We have a IBM Bladecenter with integrated Nortel switch. The problem is I am not able to change anything on the switch because I am getting the following errors:

>> azimov-in - Main# diff
Diff is issued by another user. Try later.

>> azimov-in - Main# revert
Confirm reverting unapplied changes [y/n]: y
Diff is issued by another user. Try later.

>> azimov-in - Main#

Bladecenter is on the remote location. I think one reload will solve problem but what if I can't boot a switch?

Can you help me to remove these errors or what is the best option for me. Let me mention that no one at this location

Reboot the switch. Then upgrade the switch's firmware. This is a known issue. – David Schwartz Dec 27 '12 at 9:32
Hi David, thanks for answer but is it safe if I only reboot the switch? The switch is too far from my location and I am not able to connect by console cable. I do not have any support. So it is very important for me if I reboot switch and switch come back to operational state. Switch is already in production and based at datacenter in other country. Is it possible that the switch does not come up after reboot? – Lihnjo Dec 27 '12 at 13:52
Anything is possible. I would definitely schedule a maintenance window to reboot the switch and be prepared for something to go wrong. – David Schwartz Dec 27 '12 at 17:46
