Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have a domain that I check my SMTP mail on. For PCI reasons for a different domain on the same server, SSL is forced for mail. Now that the forced SSL is in place, I can no longer check my SMTP mail on GMail because my SSL cert for mail on this domain is self-signed.

So, I ordered an SSL cert for my domain.com, but now I'm getting 'domain mismatch' because the cert that's loading is the self-signed one from server.host.com and not domain.com. What do I need to do to fix this?

Do you have administrative rights on the server that these domains are hosted on? What kind of server OS? What kind of email server software? –  TheCleaner Jan 9 '13 at 21:53
