I'm trying to configure tomcat 5.5 in our webapplication in order to NOT create a log file for each day but instead use always the same log file.

In fact, in the logs/ dir, I have three kind of logs:

  • jakarta_service_[YYYYmmdd].log
  • stdout_[YYYYmmdd].log
  • stderr_[YYYYmmdd].log

and I would want them to be:

  • jakarta_service.log
  • stdout.log
  • stderr.log

but I cannot find where to properly configure this.

Any help is appreciated, also here is the content of the logging.property file:
