I am having trouble logging into SQL Server 2005 with the sa account because the account disables itself after i have enabled it. I checked the server properties ; the account is configured for "SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode" . Any help would be appreciated

What error are you getting? Is this a remote connection? If so, have you enabled remote connections in the Surface Area Configuration tool? If it is a local connection, have you tried using the Dedicated Admin Connection (msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms178068%28v=sql.90%29.aspx)? –  jimbobmcgee Jan 24 '13 at 12:45
A SQL Login can't use both Windows authentication and SQL authentication, its one or the other. Do you mean that the server is configured for both SQL Server and Windows authentication? –  joeqwerty Jan 24 '13 at 13:46
