I have a situation where there is a server running IIS7 - it contains a mix of .ASP, .NET and PHP solutions in separate directories.

I'd like to install a copy of Wordpress at:

and I'd like to be running it on a EC2 Instance (ie different IP) and be able to handle all rewriting etc... while not affecting the operation of the current site.

How can I achieve this?

Important - this must be a subfolder not a subdomain!

Take a look at URL Rewrite. You can use it to rewrite the URL to the other server. – Matt Houser Jan 24 '13 at 16:01
