I have HP ProLiant BL35p blades and I want to install Ubuntu Server 12.x on them in order to do virtualization with OpenStack.

The storage is made of HP StorageWorks SAN, which is connected to the blades with FibreChannel.

The problem is that the installer detect the multiple IO path (/dev/sdx) but doesn't regroup them as one device (i.e. /dev/mapper/mpathX).
I tried to pass install disk-detect/multipath/enable=true (as indicated here) to the boot options but it doesn't seem to do anything.

Any idea ? Or is it possible to install Ubuntu on a single device (i.e. /dev/sda) and setup DM-Multipath later ?
