I'm trying to use relog to load the csv output of a perfmon run into a SQL database, but it keeps on failing. The error I get is:"A required argument is missing or incorrect".
I'm using the method described here: http://www.resquel.com/ssb/2009/02/26/RelogSyntaxExamplesForSQLServer.aspx It is connecting to the database successfully as it creates the tables (using the ODBC driver, not the native client), but isn't putting any data in them.
There are no errors reported when running a SQL profiler against the database & have tried all versions from SQL 2005-->2012, so I dont think the issue is at the database end.
If I run relog to binary format it just seems to hang. I can open the perfmon log files in perfmon itself & view the counters successfully.
I'm not sure why it's failing, the only thing I can think of is that the perfmon outputs were created on win 2003 x64 & I've tried the relog on Win 7 x86, Win7 x64 & Win 8 x64. Perhaps relog cant work with files from 2003 on win 7+ (don't have access to a xp or 2003 box at the moment)
Has anyone seen this or got any good ideas?
