Need to find with a reverse DNS lookup if the subdomain matches the domain that owns it.

I have a script that gets me the reverse DNS lookup for the IP but not quite sure how to check if the subdomain matches the domain that owns it.

nslookup #.#.#.#? –  ceejayoz Feb 1 '13 at 21:01
What do you think "domain that owns the IP" means? Domains don't own IPs, so it's not clear what you're talking about. WHOIS by IP might be what you want. –  David Schwartz Feb 2 '13 at 2:02
