I have a 3-tier system setup

2 Load balancers n amount of app servers database boxes / slave boxes.

I have SSL setup on the load balancers.

Normally when I test a specific server I change my host file to point to the server, but now I have https and I want to test https protocol on specic server, but I am not sure how I can go by doing this since my app servers do not serve https.

My load balancers are regular ec2 servers running nginx.

Fire up another load balancer, enable SSL with the certificate on it, add just the instance you want to test to it, and you're good to go. – ceejayoz Feb 4 '13 at 2:37
