Im trying to gain some space on the main partition on the C:\ drive of a Win 2008r2 SBS server. Im following this guide . However, after detaching the Db ,moving it to the new partition E:\ i can't attach it back since the \.\pipe\MSSQL$MICROSOFT##SSEE\sql\query server is unable to see or map that partition. Any reason why?

Has SQL been restarted since the E: volume was created? Does your SQL service account have read/write permissions at the new location? – Jeremy Lyons Feb 8 '13 at 18:28
Thanks ,will check and revert back. – Raymond Feb 10 '13 at 22:44
