I am reviewing some logs on my windows server because some overnight tasks are now taking four times as long as before (used to be 1 hour now 4!). In the Diagnostics/Event Viewer/Windows Logs/System file it has an information message:
"The system detected that network adaptor VPN was disconnected from the network and its network configuration has been released. If the network adapter was not disconnected, this may indicate that it has malfunctioned. Try updating the driver for the network adapter"
The VPN is demand-dial with a persistent connection. Does this point to a problem with the server or the client, or both?
