I have a pptpd server running on Debian. What I'd like to accomplish is to connect my windows 7 client to the Debian server and mount the windows share to the debian server. I have an application running on the server that needs file access to my share. I'm able to connect the the server with the vpn dialer built into windows, I can connect through the tunnel to the resources on the server, but not from the server to the client. Pings are dropped and any attempt to mount a drive times out. I've disabled the windows firewall to assure no interference on that end. I'm not sure if it's a local routing issue or if there is a policy some where that wont allow traffic back through the tunnel.
