I am trying to install an ADAM instance on a standalone Windows 2003 sp2 server in a production installation.
During the creation of an ADAM instance when it provides me with an opportunity to create an application directory partition, any number of valid DNs that I have entered always results in the message
Application partitions created during setup must have one of the following object classes for the root component: C, CN, DC, L, O, OU. Please enter a DN that fits this criteria
I have even tried the one provided by Microsoft in their step-by-step guide: o=microsoft, c=us
I was able to successfully install ADAM in the desired configuration on a virtual instance of Windows 2003 sp2 I set up to stage the implementation.
To my knowledge the only difference between the two of any great significance is the fact that the production server is multi-homed.
