I have the Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) client running on a Windows 2008 server. It is trying to backup a SMB share from a ZFS storage server. The Windows user running the TSM client is a domain admin and has full admin privileges to this folder on the SMB share and full NTFS permissions. I can confirm that this user can read/write/modify. From the Windows side, the NTFS permissions looks good (full control) but TSM fails. If we set the TSM option to "skipntpermissions" then TSM backs up everything fine. So it is obviously related to the NT permission checking.
The chmod ZFS permissions to the specific directory looks like the below:
1:group:admin@mydomain.:list_directory/read_data/add_file/write_data /add_subdirectory/append_data/read_xattr/write_xattr/execute /delete_child/read_attributes/write_attributes/delete/read_acl /write_acl/write_owner/synchronize:file_inherit/dir_inherit:allow
Any ideas or other suggestions for debugging?
