I'm running an Ubuntu server on EC2 with Apache2, PHP 5.3.10, and MySQL 5.5.22.
I deployed a new version of my PHP application and Apache has a serious issue with response time.
It can take anywhere from 3 seconds to 1 1/2 minutes to return a response for my PHP script. Checking the execution time in the script using time() says it only takes 3-8ms from line 1 to the end.
Static content and simple PHP test scripts (e.g. phpinfo()) are returned at expected speeds. All configs are standard and have been working without problem with the previous version. MySQL is unchanged. No errors in apache's logs.
I've tried everything I can think of, I assume its something PHP related but I've exhausted my knowledge.
