I have a 2012 Terminal server and provide remote cloud sessions to this server.
All clients are Windows 8 or 7 SP1 with RDP8
On all servers be it in my datacentre or an Amazon cloud instance will freeze after 1 - 2 minutes of end user activity. For example an end user may get up and walk to the printer / make a cup of coffee and then when they return the screen will be frozen. it then takes 10 - 20 seconds to disconnect and then reconnects after a total of 30 seconds.
This is a neat feature to save bandwidth but it would be better if it was a 10 minute idle time.
Please note this is not related to Remote desktop idle timeout settings
