I'm using Xen Cloud Platform (XCP) with the XenCenter and have installed the xenserver transfer vm as described in the xen wiki and a citrix blog. The problem is that the import still fails. It's probably due to the fact that our network uses static IP addresses instead of DHCP. According to the blog:
This most commonly happens when DHCP is not available on the XenServer management network. The TransferVM transport is started but is unable to reply with the IP address assigned from DHCP. The current requirement is that DHCP must be running on the same network that the XenServer management interface is connected to.
This post is over 2 years old now and I can't imagine that they still don't support static IPs. Has anyone gotten this to work?
I'm using XCP 1.6 with xenserver-transfer-vm-6.1.0-59002p and XenCenter 6.1
