I am trying to load the data from text file to database table by running a job. Sometimes its giving an error like "Failed at split file"..

Can anybody suggest on this how to overcome this error.

You'll need to provide more details for us to help you with this. What does the job actually try to do? What is the process for loading data? What is the actual, complete error you're getting" – squillman Mar 11 '13 at 14:52
thanks for the reply. Here i am showing the error log file. "<<<< Sub read_control_table >>>> **** ERROR HANDLING : Data loading of T_SUBSCRIBER_PERIOD was failed at split file # (5) during last execution. ". This is a normal job which will load the data from T_SUBSCRIBER_PERIOD text file to main table. What is exactly meant by split file in sql server. – vasu Mar 11 '13 at 14:55
That looks to me like a custom error message thrown by whatever is doing the data load. A "normal job" can do nearly anything, it's just an automation mechanism. What is the mechanism that the job is calling to do the data import? – squillman Mar 11 '13 at 17:15
