Thank you for your time to look at this issue.
We have Windows Server 2008 R2 and we are working on an ASP.NET web service.
This web service will create directory/file, execute and delete and will be used by public users to make sure the security.
- We created a user named
demouserand removed the groups
- Now the user
demouseris not a member of any groups
- In the C-drive, using the Security option I deny all access, so the user cannot read/write anything
- For a particular folder in the same drive I give full access to the user
- The web service runs under this new application pool with the account
Now the web service is able to create directory/file but could not execute even though I gave full access. If I execute the batch file manually using Run as that user it is working fine. It only fails in the case of the web service.
Please help us to address this issue.
