I am unable to relay email from non-authenticated users. We use Office 365 for our email server. We want to allow non-authenticated users (scanners, fax machines) to send email through relay. Outlook and authenticated mail works fine.
The messages sit in the inetpub\mailroot\queue folder. The test emails we sent were to internal addresses. SMTP server is W2K8R2 with IIS 7. Configuration changes made with IIS 6.0 Manager.
I followed the directions on this page to set up the SMTP server: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2600912
I ran smtpdiag on the server and received a pass on all areas. I also ran Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer, successfully. https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com
