Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have a problem with Company info in a SSL cert. I have created my .csr & .key files using openssl req -nodes -newkey rsa:2048 -keyout mykey.key -out mycsr.csr and entering all my company related info.

When purchasing from Comodo, it recognized all that info from the .csr file, allright.

Finally, installing it with Parallels Plesk panel "everything" goes OK. The access to the server is verified by Comodo as expected, but every info field is blank or not provided.

So my question is if I can change this data via SSH modifying, overwriting or doing something with the files on the system, taking into account that plesk panel doesn't allow me to do that.

Which type of cert did you buy? I wonder if the less expensive options don't include that information because it wasn't "verified", whereas the more expensive options do more detailed validation and include it? Just food for thought there, I'm not sure. –  davidparks21 Mar 27 '13 at 10:16
Is the basic Comodo SSL cert, i know it doesn't "comes with explorer's green bar", but it's supposed to hold the info. –  jila Mar 27 '13 at 10:53
OK... After doing a few research and talking with support I have it clear. Domain validation certs doesn't hold that info, it's available for Organization validation and Extended validation. So the only way I have to change company info, is to change the cert type. –  jila Mar 27 '13 at 11:19
