I'm just testing a testing a OpenVZ server with following HDD setup: LSI9260-8i+BBU 6 x 2TB WD RE4 2x 120GB Intel 520 SSD - CacheCade
CacheCade VD: RAID Level : Primary-1, Secondary-0 State : Optimal Size : 111.281 GB Target Id of the Associated LDs : 1 Current Cache Policy : WriteBack, ReadAheadNone, Direct, No Write Cache if Bad BBU
Main VD in RAID10: Current Cache Policy: WriteBack, ReadAhead, Direct, No Write Cache if Bad BBU
Write speeds are fine, I'm looking at Random IO using IOPING test from: http://code.google.com/p/ioping/
ioping -c 10 . --- . (simfs /vz/private/XXX) ioping statistics --- 10 requests completed in 9007.9 ms, 1526 iops, 6.0 mb/s min/avg/max/mdev = 0.1/0.7/1.2/0.5 ms
It seems pretty bad, I can get much more (~10000 IOPS) on just a 4x1TB Setup with same RAID card and no CacheCade, any suggestions on alternating the CacheCade configuration?
