I am having problems installing Windows on a new HP Proliant ML-110 G7. To make sure it wasn't a hardware problem, I just went through a Ubuntu installation just fine, which means I now have a nice Linux server but unfortunately I really need it to be Windows Server 2012 Standard.
I am getting this error when trying to install Windows 7 Pro, Server 2012 Standard and Server 2012 Essentials (tried all three):
Load Driver: A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD or USB flash drive, please insert it now."
I have tried downloading drivers, updating the ROM, inserting the HP SPP disk, and everything else I can think of.
What am I missing? Is it really the DVD driver that is missing? Is this a SATA problem? How is it possible that Windows starts the installation (obviously the drive is working) before it realizes it is missing a driver?
This is P410 RAID.
