thanks in advance for your time.
I have a laptop on my domain that was recently re-imaged after having the same issue describe below, everything worked perfectly on it, could log on to my domain account, the users, and both local accounts. About 24 hours later the user reports that the log-on screen for Windows 7 is stuck at one of the two local accounts again. There is no input field for the user account, it just shows the name of the local account, there is no switch user option (it's completely gone). I have tried logging in and off, shutting down and safe mode.
I can fix it by re-attaching the computer to the domain. I've also tried the following and I can't right now remember if they worked:
"What fixed mine was to go to regedit hkey local machine, software, microsoft, windows, current version, policies, system and change the HideFastUserSwitching to 0 to show."
changing some policy settings in Gpedit.msc -> Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Logon.
My question is this, why is it happening and how do I prevent it? Anyone have any experience with this?
