I'm write following configuration in httpd.conf.

but, I can't start Apache when I turn on this setting.

 ServerName www.example.com

  RewriteEngine On

What error messages are you getting when you try to start apache. What OS are you on? – Krist van Besien Apr 12 '13 at 11:23
    
It probably does not have a Listen *:443 definition. – Marcel Apr 15 '13 at 21:54
