Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have a problem the on production server, after some time the apache stops (apache tomcat 6.0.24) and i have this error :

SEVERE: A web application created a ThreadLocal with key of type [org.apache.log4j.helpers.ThreadLocalMap] (value [org.apache.log4j.helpers.ThreadLocalMap@3ac5b23e]) and a value of type [java.util.Hashtable] (value [{userhost=, userid=127, username=JOE}]) but failed to remove it when the web application was stopped. To prevent a memory leak, the ThreadLocal has been forcibly removed.

After reading and searching the web I found out that this error occurs only when the web server starts or stops but in my condition am not doing those two actions! what might be the problem ? increasing the JVM heap size will fix the problem ? how can i debug this error ?
