I need to perform certain actions (e.g remove a link) when a resource gets removed from a Chef-controlled node. It looks like Chef itself performs cleanup actions because I can see entries like Removing cookbooks/chef-client/templates/default/sv-chef-client-run.erb from the cache; it is no longer needed by chef-client. in its log but I can't find an easy way to install my own code to this cleanup chain. Is this possible in Chef at all (does Chef have a notion of post-removal hooks or something)? If not, is it possible to emulate this behavior somehow?
