I have a windows 2003 server machine, a working process running on it. What's the working process doing is compress files under certain folder, move the compressed files to other backed-up folder and then delete the original folder.
The problem is sometimes after the working process delete the original folder, the deleted folder still exists but becomes unaccessible. I can see the deleted folder under it's parent folder view, but when I double click on it, the system says it is unaccessible.
Using ProcessExplorer.exe, I find that the explorer.exe process keeps the folder's handle opened. When I close the opened folder handle in explorer.exe process, then things become right and the folder is gone.
I am sure that there is no explorer browser window focus on the deleted folder. I guess maybe certain system service cause this problem, but have no idea about it.
So my question is, What's the possible reason cause the explorer.exe process keeps the opened folder handle, and how to stop it?
