Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have configured the following:-

Openldap on EC2 instance with OpenSSH-LPK patch (I am able to add public keys using phpldapadmin)

Another EC2 instance with libnss-ldap libpam-ldap ldap-utils on, configured to point at the Ldap Server above.

I've run a test from the client to the server using ldapsearch and I can successfully read information from the ldap server.

I have imported the public key into the LDAP Server, but when I try to SSH as the user from my Desktop PC I get Permission Denied (publickey)

I am using ssh -i id_rsa john@EC2 Client Instance

What do I need to do to pull this all together?

Thanks
