Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I am running the following script: http://phprestsql.sourceforge.net/

My test environment is a WAMP server running Apache 2.2.17 and PHP 5.3.4

My production server is running Apache 2.2.14 and PHP 5.3.2.

In the production server, I always get a 404 not foudn when trying to click a link, which leads me to believe the problem is in the rewrite_module. I have confirmed via phpinfo that it is installed in the production server.

There is a single entry in the .htaccess file, below:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^.*$ index.php

I would appreciate any help.

What's in Apache's error log? –  Michael Hampton May 23 '13 at 4:44

What about AllowOverride? –  andol May 23 '13 at 5:14

Are the test and production .htaccess files identical? If so, check the production's VirtualHost to make sure OPtions and AllowOverride is set to All. –  rightstuff May 26 '13 at 17:16
