I just installed gitlab server on CentOS 6, but not able to push any changes to the repo via ssh.

A simple ssh works though

ssh -T git@git.med-access.net
Welcome to GitLab 5.2, Anonymous!

But when I try to push anything I get

fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly

There is exactly same problem discussed in stack over flow but I that does not seems to help in my case.

So it was not issue more of a configuration setup. The config.yml of gitlab-shell should correctly point the URL. In my case it was http://git.domain.com:9222/.
