I'm trying to set up my .ssh/config to let me ssh into a server via a jumphost as I normally would:
StrictHostKeyChecking no UserKnownHostsFile=/dev/null ForwardAgent yes Host jump Hostname jumphost.company.com Host stage Hostname stage.company.com ProxyCommand ssh jump nc %h %p
Now when I ssh to stage it replies with:
ssh_exchange_identification: Command execution without tty not supported. Run "ssh -t user@host command" to force allocation of tty.
So using the following command to ssh will work:
ssh -t jump ssh stage
Now I'm assuming that my ProxyCommand isn't working because netcat doesn't support the pseudo-tty ssh needs to connect to this particular server, despite this approach normally working for me.
Anyone know why this is happening and how I can configure my ProxyCommand to work?
