OS is Centos 6. I manually installed curl-7.27.0 with SSL enabled.

curl --version
curl 7.19.7 (x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu) libcurl/7.27.0 OpenSSL/1.0.0 zlib/1.2.3 c-ares/1.9.1

But my PHP doesn't see that SSL is enabled. In phpinfo():

cURL support: enabled
cURL Information: 7.27.0

but

SSL: No

It should seem that the curl extension doesn't actually use the curl binaries installed on the system. To get SSL support in php you'll need to recompile the curl extension with SSL support. –  Robbie Mckennie Jun 21 '13 at 15:30

Thank you Robbie, you sent me in right direction. Removing package php-common rpm --nodeps -e php-common and then installing it back yum install php-common solved the problem. –  Bombero Jun 21 '13 at 16:04
