Server Fault is a question and answer site for system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I still unable to setup replication between LDAP nodes %(, followed instructions from : http://www.secure-computing.net/wiki/index.php/OpenLDAP/replication

Server, lapd.conf

TLS_CACERTDIR   /etc/openldap/certs
loglevel sync
TLS_CACERT /etc/pki/tls/certs/slapd_cert.pem
BASE dc=your-domain,dc=com
overlay syncprov
syncprov-checkpoint 100 10
syncprov-sessionlog 10

Slave, lapd.conf

syncrepl        rid=1
               provider=ldap://192.168.0.137
                type=refreshOnly
                interval=00:00:00:30
                searchbase="dc=your-domain,dc=com"
                filter="(objectClass=*)"
                attrs="*"
                scope=sub
                schemachecking=off
                bindmethod=simple
                binddn="cn=Manager,dc=your-domain,dc=com"
                credentials="1"
updateref       ldap://192.168.0.137

When search on slave machine: ldapsearch -x -b "dc=your-domain,dc=com" I have:

search: 2
result: 32 No such object

On master machine:

# search result
search: 2
result: 0 Success

# numResponses: 7
# numEntries: 6

Any suggestion how to make working replication on slave machine?

Centos 6.4

Openldap-2.4.23

Anything in your LDAP logs? (Check on both the master and the slave(s)) –  voretaq7 Jul 19 '13 at 15:10

When I restart slave machine : 2013-07-19T21:11:35.831843+03:00 localhost slapd[2769]: conn=1002 op=2 SRCH base="dc=your-domain,dc=com" scope=2 deref=0 filter="(&(objectClass=posixGroup)(memberUid=ldap))" 2013-07-19T21:11:35.832002+03:00 localhost slapd[2769]: conn=1002 op=2 SRCH attr=cn userPassword memberUid gidNumber uniqueMember 2013-07-19T21:11:35.832316+03:00 localhost slapd[2769]: conn=1002 op=2 SEARCH RESULT tag=101 err=0 nentries=0 text= Looks like search result from slave –  Jhon Jul 19 '13 at 15:12

Please edit the additional information into your question so the formatting isn't mangled (It's bloody unreadable as a comment, I'm not even gonna try...) –  voretaq7 Jul 19 '13 at 15:50

@Jhon It's much easier to update your question than to link to another site. I updated your question. –  Nathan C Jul 19 '13 at 15:58
